Thanks! I think he is cute too, but I'm a tad biased, haha. Things are going fine. Besides being exhausted/sleep deprived that is :-) It has certainly been an adjustment but we are getting there. I'm learning as I go obviously and am finally feeling like I'm finding my stride a bit. If only I could get Tommy to sleep more at night than during the day :-) Tonight is his first bath. His cord finally fell off. This should be "fun" considering the kid screams bloody murder every time we change him cause he hates being exposed...hehe.

I hear ya! Ryan was a horrible sleeper until about 6 months when we helped him out a bit and now he knows how to fall asleep on his own. And I'll be honest - he hated bath time for the longest time! We found cranking the heat up in the bathroom to help and to keep a warm washcloth on him helped until he got older and didn't mind it as much.

And Ryan HATED diaper changes until about 6 weeks or so. Screamed bloody murder like Tommy. We found he eventually stopped crying once we put his feet back in his pj's so we ended up just keeping socks on him so they were never exposed. That and keeping him distracted with a toy above him helped wonders. That and age. LOL

It's hard, but it definitely can be a lot of fun - especially when they get a bit older, aren't quite so tiny, and start to react back to you. There were so many times I questioned if I knew anything at all - and I didn't sometimes, lol, but it's ok - I haven't broken him yet. ;-)

Thanks for sharing your experiences! Good to know there is a light at the end of the tunnel, haha. I heard the trick about the warm washcloth, which I intend to try out later. I thought about keeping on Tommy's socks while changing him...until his flailing foot landed in the dirty diaper. That killed that plan, at least for now :-)

It actually wasn't bad at all! He cried more when we took his clothes off. Once we put him in the tub, he quieted down. And I did do the washcloth trick :-)
