My sister caught my bouquet and she is still single. My friends boyfriend caught the garter and they got married 5 months later We were married in 2007.
They broke up in a messy way even though they had two kids and a house together (no marriage though). Now she's engaged and eight months pregnant with a new guy. Oy vey! Lol

we didn't do a bo-k or garter toss at our wedding.
Instead I will share what happened the one and only time I ever caught a bo-k at my BFFs wedding. Her 13 yr old cousin caught the garter - yea, there's a moment I want back! then after the reception was over, the best man grabbed me and kissed me very passionatly without warning, right in front of my DAD!!!!!! I wanted to die!
in conclusion, I believe I was cursed b/c I didn't end up meeting my DH until 10 yrs later. Which is probably why we didn't do a bo-k and garter toss at ours!
I however, caught my cousins bouquet at her wedding. My now DH was just a friend of mine and date to the wedding at the time. We began dating that month and were the next to be engaged and married in my family about 3 years later Still have the bouquet.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't!
My Story and Blog: The Conception Craze
1/2009- TTTC
After 7 rounds of clomid and HcG, Three failed IUI's with an ectopic pregnancy, two shots of methotrextate, ER visits, breaks, low (3%) morphology One IVF cycle (lupron, gonal-F) that ended in another ectopic, more methotrexate, A Lap to disconnect both tubes, remove endo and a hydrosalphinx, . . .we are finally expecting TWINS from FET#1!
1.11. 2011: Beginning FET cycle!
3.11.11- FET! (DH's birthday!) 2 blasts transfered!
3.20.11- BETA #1 BFP!!! 272! (9dp5dt)
3.23.11- BETA #2 1346!!! (12dp5dt)
4.8.11- U/S #1. . TWINS!!! . . .TWO BOYS!
9.10.11-My beautiful Boys arrive unexpectedly at 28 weeks, 6 days.
We didn't do a garter or bouquet toss. We had a very small wedding - just 22 people. With a wedding that small, it is strange single out those that are single. As for the single ladies, it would have been my mom, my sister-in-law and my good friend. There weren't any single men.

My BFF/MOH caught my bouquet (I *may* have been aiming for her, lol) and her boyfriend caught the garter... they got engaged the next year and married in 2008, we were married in 2005.

We've been married for almost 9 years, and I can't really remember who caught the garter... I think one of my or dh's cousins, and if so, they are all married now and have kids.
I did the bouquet toss, but instead of a traditional bouquet, it was a bouquet of ten different flower bouquets that all had ribbons tied around them with life messages. Most of my bridesmaids caught them and a few of my little nieces who are now teenagers.
I didn't want the traditional garter/bouquet toss...
One of my best friends caught the boquet and my brother in law caught the garter. They are probably the two most single people I know. We were married in Septemeber of 2005.

We didn't do it. I think I had 3 single people at my wedding and they were all guys.
Married 08.06 Started TTC 05.08 Me: Stage II endo, borderline high FSH DH: perfect 1 lap, 5 IUIs = 4 BFNs and 1 c/p 2 IVFs, 2 FETs = 1 BFN, 1 c/p, 1 ectopic and finally a sticky BFP in May 2011!
I was not a fan of the bouquet/garter toss tradition at all. I always hated being called onto the dance floor as a single girl so that the bride could throw flowers at me, but I'm kind of a reserved person in general so maybe that's just my personality showing. I decided to do an anniversary dance instead and the couple that had been married the longest end up being the last on the dance floor and the wife got a miniature of my bouquet. Much more my style I find it so interesting to read about what happened to those people that did catch the bouquet/garter though!
TTC with unexplained IF since 8/2007
6 losses, one beautiful perfect boy in our arms
Our friend Caroline caught the bouqet and she was the next to get married! (Although, she was already engaged at the time, so that's kind of cheating.) We didn't do a garter toss.
DS #1 on the way after 2 cycles of ART (IVF+FET)
EDD 7/3/11
I refused to do a garter toss. Instead of tossing the bouquet, we had all the couples (married or in a long-term relationship) slow dance. My BIL and his band were playing the wedding and he had couples sit down according to how long they had been together. The last couple dancing had been together the longest. It ended up being my great aunt and uncle, and they're still going strong!

my cousin caught the bouquet, her fiance caught the garter. They were married a month later. So needless to say they were already engaged at my wedding.

2009 Apr, Aug, and Sept tried clomid cycles.... BFN. Oct...DH SA results were normal. Me...HSG - left tube was clear, right tube was slightly blocked. Dec - Clomid #4 200mg
Feb 2010 - IUI #1 200mg Clomid = BFN. June 2010 - IUI #2 200mg Clomid = BFN. March 2011 - IUI #3 w/ injectables = BFN (1st & last with RE, moving on to IVF). July 2011 - consult for IVF. Sept 2011, 1st IVF. Got our BFP on 10/2/11. Became a mom on 5/5/12 to a beautiful baby boy!
A little girl cousin of DH's caught the flowers. She was only 11 or so. I was super glad I made a small throw one. I don't think little kids should be in it. She dove in front of my maid of honor who really wanted it.
My MOH's boyfriend caught the garter. It would have been perfect. No one else really tried except a few kids, the rest of the guys just stood there.
My MOH and her boyfriend had just gotten engaged that weekend, but hadn't really told everyone as not to ruin my moment. They had been engaged once before about 5 years before that. They got married that Sept. He threw my garter, which was just bought for the toss, so it was kind of cool. My MOH's sister's boyfriend caught it and they got engaged right after that. They skipped the toss, so not sure where it is now.
PAIF and SAIF Always Welcome!

The guy who caught the garter is an employee of ours. He isn't married, not even dating.
Before DH got married, I caught the bouquet at a friend's wedding. I was in fact the next girl (at her wedding) to get married!
A 7 year old girl caught my boquet, as far as I know she's still single.
My little brother caught the garter... he had a boyfriend now doesn't but still lives with him... kind of weird situation.
