Doula Recommendations in the area...

My husband and I are considering hiring a birth Doula.  I will be delivering at Fairview Southdale.  Can anyone recommend a Doula that you have used ??

    I dont have my doula info with me but she was awsome you can email me at karayounkin at gmail dot com and I can get it for you when I get home.

    I didn't have a doula but my mom was in the room and she was just as good as a doula. Good luck in your search.

    Looks like you need someone soon!  I know our doula is booked up through the summer, but our back-up, Marion Seeley-Kreisman is available I think.  She is awesome.  If you are looking to meet several doulas at once, head to one of the Childbirth Collective parent topic nights.  Its a great place to meet several doulas and get an idea of their practices.

    We used Beth McAllister and Gina Picht... they alternate who is on call so you could get either one.   I can't speak highly enough of them or the experience of having a doula!

    I was just coming to recommend the CBC. A lot of my friends are doulas, and many find clients through the CBC.

    The Child Birth Collective is fantastic.  I'm using Linda Posthumus, and she's fantastic!  She's a member of the Collective, and also has a website at www.massagehealingartscenter.com . (Yes, she's a massage therapist too - a nice bonus!)  Good luck!

    I loved our doula... and so did my husband (as she was really helpful in explaining and assisting him in helping me as well).  But sadly we live up in St. Cloud and she is from this area and expecting her 1st baby and not doula-ing at this time.
