Jackie - now I'm thinking of a getaway!

LOL, I'm looking into a summer road trip.  We could use the time away.  We are both exhaused b/c all we've been doing for the past 3 months is working and working on the house.  But, I feel guilty spending money on a getaway when there's still so much work to do on the house.  It may have to be a staycation =(

    Oh girl, I know what you mean!  Maybe an well planned, economical getaway may be in order?!  LOL  But a staycation can be fun too!  But make sure not to do any house work and focus on relaxing... by the pool, w/ virgin pina coladas.  : )

    That sounds delicious right now. 

    Maybe DH can take a couple of days off when school's over just to lounge by the pool and watch movies at night =)

    And go to the movies randomly during the week, like at 2pm!  That is the best.  : )

    A couple of yrs ago, DH's family rented a couple of apts on Miami Beach for an entire month.  We all took the same week off from work and did random stuff around Miami, that one normally doesn't do (ie, bowling, brunch, movies, tour).  Plus, we all left work at exactly our dismissal time, so we still had plenty of time to enjoy the water the days we weren't off.  And since I wasn't working then (had been laid off), I would take advantage and start dinner early so we could all enjoy.

    We actually had a great time.

    It's true!  There's so much to do in Miami, but we forget b/c we get caught up with work! 

    We are members of Fairchild and used to go at least once a month, but we haven't been all year just b/c we've been too busy.  I've been wanting to go and have one of our photography dates.
