NBR - Need getaway ideas, please

DH and I will be celebrating our 5 yr anniversary in a couple of weeks (where does time go?!). It is sorta a tradition for us to go away on an inexpensive getaway. And since we have our bundles of joy on their way, we may not continue the tradition, at least not alone, for a while.
Anyway, I'm out of suggestions. We've gone 2x to Naples (Naples Grande) and enjoyed our stay, but want to change it up. We've also been to St Augustine. I was thinking maybe Keys (maybe Key Largo)... but would need recs. I've heard great things about Tranquility Bay (thanks Cyn) but it is quite expensive for just us two (2 br houses). I also checked Casa Marina in KW, but that too was $$.
Also, we are going to Sarasota 2 wks later, so that isn't an option either... but the beach still is. We love the beach!

Check out the caribbean resort in Islamorada, I think it's really nice and not too pricey.
Or what about Sanibel / Captiva?

What about a weekend cruise? I love cruising!
I was going to suggest St. Augustine or Sarasota, lol.
I love the Keys, but keep in mind that the oil leak may be reaching the keys soon so it may put a damper on your getaway and it may also rule out the West coast beaches.
How about Amelia Island? It's farther away, but I've heard it's beautiful! If you're willing to drive even farther, Savannah, GA is one of those road trips that I've heard is worth it!
LOL Just emailed DH a quote from NCL. I think this is actually the best option... and our anni lands on a Friday, so it is quite nice.
I also checked Atlantis (for sh*ts and giggles) since they are having a promotion, but it was a little over our budget.

I've heard wonderful things about Savannah, but a little too far for what we want... besides, we only have a wkend. I am trying to avoid taking any days off, as I really don't have any (and I still have to take a wk off mid-June for the family trip to Sarasota).

DH and I stayed here a couple of months back and it was really nice. Definitely recommend. Nice getaway. Your anniversary is in June also right? Our 5 yr anniversary is June 25th and if I recall you got married right before us.
The resort looks very nice, and the prices are great! Now, how's the beach? From the photos, it didn't look so grand. Also, we have the potential scare of the oil spill. ; ( There was reports that some tar was washing ashore yesterday.

Dh just emialed me about the cruise, and he liked the idea! He's going to contact a buddy of his for F&F at RC... but I really want to try out NCL, as I've never cruised w/ them before.

Good point about the oil spill...you just reminded me - NCL has partnered with Nick Jr. I believe the new ship will be revealed this summer (?) That would be nice for us AND the kids...I'd do a cruise over a hotel stay any day :0)
I know some people recommended cruises but keep in mind that you can only travel up to 24 weeks pregnant. DH and I wanted to go on a cruise instead of Disney but since I am going to Venezuela for 2 weeks we won't have enough time to go on a cruise.
Also, keep in mind that whatever place you decide to go won't be affected by the oil spill. DH and I went to Casa Marina but its expensive.
My friend went to Charleston, SC with her husband and they loved it. If you need any help I have 2 friends that own travel agencies. If you want I can give you their info. My friend always gets me good deals and she travels a lot so she knows tons of places.
I'll only be 14 wks, so a cruise is safe. : ) But thanks for the reminder. I've been wanting to stay at Casa Marina, but 1) too expensive, and 2) Dh doesn't want to drive that far either, which makes SC out of the question too.
I've heard great things about Charleston, and would like to visit one day. Maybe do a long road trip up the east coast... one day.
