Where do you change your LO's clothes and diapers?

We have a twin bed in DS1's room and have used that for a long time. Now we need that bed for another room and I am not sure I want to change him on the floor (?). What do you do?

    The changing table.

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.

  • We always use the floor. In the mornings we bring him our room, he watches Blues Clues while we finish getting ready and we get him changed and dressed in there. After bath at night we get him ready on the floor in his room. He has a full size bed and we've tried laying him on that, but all he wants to do it roll around and jump up and down. For any other diaper changes if we're down stairs we do it on the floor in the living room.
  • She's usually standing up, helping.  So, on the floor, in whatever room we are in.  (her bedroom, living room, bathroom)
  • In the bathroom.

Works best that way for potty training.

We cleared out a cabinet under the sink and kept all the diapers, wipes, cream, and underwear in there.  I bought a nice plush bath mat that they laid on.

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
  • i have a changing pad on top of his dresser and all of his supplies in the top three drawers
i feel like hes getting kind of big for a changing table...but it works and i cant imagine having to do it on the floor five times a day!

If it's bath time and he's getting undressed, we change his clothes in the bathroom. If it's the morning time and he's getting dressed, I change his clothes in his room on the floor.

  • I have changed DD on the floor since 6 months.  DS on the floor since 4 - he was too wiggley and didn't want to lay there so it was just safer on the floor.
