I think we are done with purees already!

Sam seems to think he is too good for purees these days! He will still eat his fruit & oatmeal in the morning but when it comes to lunch or dinner, he pretty much wants to eat what we eat. He LOVES feeding himself. So if you try to get a spoon to his mouth, he grabs it or bats it away! He has done really well with finger food and he has 5 teeth and does well with chewing so I'm not worried about that. It just seems like he is too young to be giving up baby food already! I still make sure he gets plenty of fruits and steamed veggies and he will pretty much eat anything you put in front of him. What happened to my little baby?!

    We're right there with you.  He's just not interested in them anymore.  He will eat them if we are out and he is starving (and we don't have food in front of us) and we'll do an occasional puree at home.  It's really weird though because he loves yogurt and will let us feed him that, but it's the same consistency as a puree.

    That's how C was, too. It seemed like he was only good with them for a very short period of time, as soon as we started giving him finger foods that was all he wanted.

    Charlotte was also interested in table foods much earlier than Ava was and it took me by surprise.  I can't believe Sam is such a big boy already!  Time is flying!  I love your siggy pic... you have two cuties!

    Jacob moved on from purees about the same age.  Now, he won't eat ANYTHING unless he can do it himself - with a spoon, a fork, or his hands.  He's in such a rush to grow up, and he's fiercely independent.  Smile  Have fun with table foods!
