How do Gap and Carter's compare size wise?

Does gap run big or true to size or small?  My DD wears the Carter's size that corresponds to her age (she's in 18 month now).  Wondering what size Gap to buy

    My DD is 33" and 25 lbs and I can buy her 18-24 or 2T in GAP, 2T is better for her because she is taller and she isn't swimming in it but it is looser.  Hope that helps.  I love the GAP great quality style and price (only shop on sale) :O)

    I would get 18-24 month in Gap for her to wear now.  If you are looking at something you want her to wear in the fall or later this year, I'd get 24 months.

    I feel like Gap runs big and Carter's runs more true to size. DD is in 12 months Carter's clothing right now and the gap 12 months stuff is still a little big on her.

    My son is 32 inches and 24 pounds and wears a size 12-18 months in Gap and size 18 months in Carters.
