I'm not sure about a few weeks ago, but I posted yesterday (scroll down a little ways) about the episode of SS where Maria's mom visits. Her mom looks the exact same age as her, so I was wondering how old she is in real life. None of us can find the name of the actress or her age on Google, and it seems like quite a few of us are really interested in this important info!!! If you can help, it would be greatly appreciated. LOL

My research shows it was Lilian Hurst.

She was born in 1949 and she appeared as Maria's mother in 1988...so she would have been 39 then. Maria was born in 1950 so she would have been 38.

So yes, you ladies would be correct in thinking they looked very close in age. They're only from August to June apart in age.

On a similiar topic, I wish Sprout would air more episodes than the 7 or 8 ten-yr old episodes that they seem to show. I've emailed them asking if they could please show Mr Rogers, since it isn't aired anymore. My reasoning is, if they can show 10 yr old S Street they can show reruns of Mr Rogers

I read on Wiki that the episode we are talking about was a remake of one from the 80's, so I don't think our problem has been solved.

As for Mr. Rogers, I agree! I used to LOVE him, and would love to introduce him to DD. :-)

Mr Rogers is still shown on most pbs stations. Here is a link that might help: https://pbskids.org/tvschedules/localizer.html?dest=/rogers/index.html&nola=MSTR&title_id=MSTR

It showed which stations in my area air Mr Rogers. I then went to the stations website to find the tv listings. Or you can google your local pbs station and then look through their tv schedule.

yea, I've tried that- its still not aired here. Thing that bugs me is that the PBS Kids station airs commercials for it with Neighbor Aber- and they don't even show the show....err
