Probably my least fav of the series. The ending was predictable and the whole thing with Sookie drinking that potion (or whatever) was so wierd! So do you think Bill and his "sister" will live happily ever after now? I'm also curious if Sookie is going to get turned.

do ya'll get the impression that this book was maybe a bridge between the fae war and the drama about to go down with the supes and politics? it just felt so blah that there has to be a reason for it.
Ditto on the blah. Eric has been emasculated, which is no fun. Nothing in the story seemed as dramatic or exciting as it could've been. The fairy storyline didn't need to continue....it's time to turn back and resolve vamp politics. With Eric kicking some ass.
Charlaine Harris has been really open about Sookie NOT becoming a vamp, but I guess she decided to let her think it out. I think it's going to be Sam and Sookie in the end. Which is boring, but Sookie kinda is.
maybe its being set up for sookie to have to choose between eric and becoming a vamp or having a more normal life with Sam. i agree it has to be Sam at some point.
eric doesn't seem like the type to just be content to watch her age.
i don't understand how she forgave Dermot so easily.

hmmmm....you might be on to something. With the whole thing with Victor, that might be the choice that Eric and Sookie has to make. He'll either have to turn her or sever contact to either protect her and/or to save his "kingdom." She'll decline the vamp offer and Sam will be there to comfort her.
Re: Ready for Dead in the Family discussion?
I've been ready.
W....T....F.....
So that ending was fairly obvious, wasn't it?
And is Sookie thinking about becoming a vamp now? Seems like the author was foreshadowing to me.
I didn't really like this one with Eric MIA.

I was a bit lost in the beginning, wishing I had re-read the previous one again.
Ending was obvious.. I didn't get her wanting to be a vamp though.
I wanted more sexy time with Eric too..
This one was kind of blah to me compared to some of the others. I wasn't as enthralled.
This is exactly how I felt. Blah.
