I agree, especially if your last name is very short. Why not Alivia, Olivia, or even Livia. I always think putting doctor in front of a name, like Doctor Liv Smith or Doctor Olivia Smith, the latter just sounds more professional to me.

I think of it as more of a nickname but then again I also think of Liv Tyler (I don't think it is short for anything for her) which I like.

I LOVE IT! actually it is our #2 pick for a girl if our lil baby is female.

I think it is great by itself - Olivia is very popular right now but probably alot of Olivia's will be nicknamed Liv and then you'll have a bunch of Liv's anyways. Livia sounds too much like the country Libya, just MO. ;O) go for it!

Love it. I'm not a fan of NN. I like the idea that if you are going to call your kid that, name them that. This coming from a Rebecca (nice name) always called Becky (not my favorite!).
