I usually just post on 6-12, but it looks like I'll be joining you ladies.
I've been paranoid for a while that something was going on. I've talked with him a few times about my insecurities, and he promised he was doing everything he could to keep us going. I've been out of town this last week, and I came home a day early. A few things in the house just didn't seem right, and didn't match up to what he said he'd done all week. I got nosy and looked through his phone, knowing I would find something and I did. I confronted him last night, and after trying to lie about it at first, he knew I'd caught him and finally fessed up. He left the house for the night. My parents are driving to town this morning to help us get our stuff out.
I'm strangely calm about it. Proud for standing up for, not only myself, but my precious little boy. I know that we both deserve better than that. We're not married, but DS has his last name and I will be changing it to mine.
Overall, I think I'm still just numb about it. I haven't cried yet, and I think my lack of tears and hysterics threw him for a loop... he questioned my "indifference" several times while he was still at the house.
I do, however, feel a resentment growing towards him. I was a SAHM. So his actions not only took his time with the baby away, but he's taking my time away from my baby as well since I now need to find a job.
Re: XP: SO cheated
Very sad to hear you have to deal with such a terrible ordeal. Great job for standing up to him with a "Mom face" and carrying on! You'll eventually have your good cry, but know that it was all better that you found out and are moving on with your (and your LO's) life.
We're here for ya!
I am sorry to hear this....however, it sounds like you are doing the right thing. It is amazing how when we are faced with something like this we can find amazing strength that we never knew existed. I would suggest looking into seeing a counselor. You are going to have resentment you are going to have anger. It is entirely normal and healthy.
GL and please keep us posted. BTW, DS is ADORABLE-what a cute little chub! And I mean that in the best possible way!
