I really wanted to make something special and personal for my LO so I decided to make a mobile. I think it turned out great and am really proud of it, especially since I dont normally sew and it took me 2 hours to make each bird!

It's beautiful! I made our LO a mobile too - similar but with owls ... they're stuffed with dried lavender, which is supposed to help babies and adults sleep sounder.

I love all the colours and ribbons on yours ... I am sure your LO will have countless hours of birdie watching enjoyment from it.

Thank you for the nice comments! DH laughed hysterically when I told him my idea because I am usually so uncrafty. I just went to wal-mart and bought a quilting kit of fabrics that went well together, and hand sewed the birds using this pattern I found online. https://www.spoolsewing.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/birdpattern1-1.pdf

Absolutely LOVE it! and P.S. I'm stealing our idea, I've been trying to find a mobile for me to make and this is just to perfect! I made all of LO's bedding and curtains so I have left over fabric from that! your great!

I started one of these types, too, but never thought to hang them from a wreath ring like that- yours looks like a nest! I love it! I had always just seen them on branches or dowel rods- very cute!
