I have a "33% off the list price of any ONE item" coupon for Borders that expires today. I was thinking of picking up "Baby Bargains" since I'm starting to think about things we need to buy in preparation for baby (overwhelming!), but I was wondering if there are any other books you found valuable that I should consider instead.
(I already have a couple of baby books--The Dr. Sears Baby Book, Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy, and an older edition of WTEWYE.)
TIA!
Re: Help: What should I use my 33% discount on?
I don't know if you were planning on getting DH a Father's Day present but I was hoping Borders would send me a coupon soon so I could get DH a few books. Malia (myday) said she got her DH "Daddy Kisses" by Anne Gutman https://www.amazon.com/Daddy-Kisses-Anne-Gutman/dp/0811839141
I thought it was a pretty sweet idea, but the books are kind of cheap so maybe not worth a coupon...but while you are book hunting I thought I would pass the info along!
You may also want to consider a pregnancy journal or organizer. I always thought they were sort of a waste (not planning keeping as a keepsake), but then I found this one that was exactly what I needed - a place to keep my lists! I had post its and other papers all over the place with stuff to buy, stuff to add to registry, questions to ask the doctor, etc. This booklet gave me one spot to keep track of it all. Not sure if they sell it at Borders (I bought mine at B&N), but I have to say it's one of my best purchases for myself!

Thanks for the tip, Vanessa! I didn't even think of getting a book for DH for Father's Day. That's a really cute idea.
Thanks, Natalie! Someone gave me one of those keepsake books called The Belly Book, but I haven't even started filling it out yet.
I am a total list person so I think I'd find the book you posted a bit more helpful at this point in my pregnancy. It looks like the Waikele Borders might have it in stock!
some other options, if B's looking for books geared towards daddies: the expectant father, or the new father
W wanted to know how he should prepare for baby - all his friends have said "you figure it out" which he's been finding frustrating, haha, and he didn't feel like there are any resources or communities for dads. i got him both those books - he started reading the expectant father yesterday and seems to be enjoying it so far. i took a peak - it looks good.
and thanks to Vanessa/Malia for the rec for the daddy kisses book! so cute - i may get that for W for father's day
eta: i should specify that W was specifically looking for books that were NOT fun/humorous. he wanted a serious book, but did giggle aloud at a few of the new yorker-style cartoons in the expectant father.
Great ideas!
This book is awesome and really funny and informative, too.

A few ladies suggested it and said it was more of a fun read for the husband's, mine really enjoyed it and read it out loud to me a lot.

OMG, Leah! I don't know where my brain has been lately, but I'm so glad you posted this! We've actually been wanting to buy a DVD box set of a favorite TV series, but never did because of the cost! I can use this coupon to pick it up now...DUH! LOL...looks like this has turned into a non-BR purchase, afterall!
Yay! Glad I could help! It's always good to get your money's worth, right?!
Glad I read to the bottom before posting because this is what I was going to suggest! Baby Bargains is a good book, but really it's already pretty cheap (it's like $12 on Amazon, isn't it?), so if I had a 33% coupon I'd want to use it on something $$$.
