I dont think there is any "right" time to do it...I started packing it last week and have a list of items I still need to get...I plan to get them tomorrow. So, I hope to have the majority of it packed here in a few days!
Just finished mine yesterday. Everyone toild me to have it ready by 36 weeks! I have a list of lots of suggestions. PM me if youy want me to send it to you
I had my list made of what I wanted by about 36 weeks or so, but didn't actually pack it until we were heading out the door (I took the pillow from my bed that I slept with nightly thus the last minute packing!) With this DC I honestly plan to pack the night before (scheduled c-section though!) Sorry
prob for the past month, but most of the stuff I wanna bring I am still using or won't pack until the last minute. dang...I should make a list or something!
I just packed mine today but I don't think there's a specific time you need to do it. I also put a post it note on my bathroom mirror listing all the things we need to grab on our way out the door.

I just got little ones take home outfits ready. I packed two... 1 newborn and 1 0-3 month. We just don't know how big he'll be. My stuff is set to the side ready to be stuffed in a bag. I am still using my everyday stuff.
Hahaha... well yesterday... after I went to the hospital for some early contractions that turned into false labour! I have LO's stuff ready to go and I just have to add my things!!
I have a stack of stuff in the nursery that needs to go in a bag but I just haven't dug the bag out of the closet yet. There are still a couple more things I want to get before I really start packing it. Instead of bringing my own toiletries I am just going to buy the travel size stuff from Target that way I can throw it in there and not worry about it packing those things.

This is my plan, as well. Boy, we're smart! I really don't want to have to worry about what to grab on the way out the door.
Then again, if it turns out to be a waiting game, it could prove to be a nice distraction.
