Buspar: How long to feel it's effects?

I can tell from the directions that you have to increase the does over several days. But do you start to feel the effects before you reach the high dose? It's only been 3 days by the way. I can't tell if my nights are going better from the different sleep aid (started at the same time) or if it's the Buspar working.

May I ask what the directions say as far as how to increase dosage? I was just prescribed Buspar 4 days ago and the doctor just told me to start taking 5mg twice a day. Just wondering if I am doing something wrong.

The label said to take 1 pill 2x daily for three days, then to take 1 pill in the morning and 1.5 pills in the evening for three days, then to take 1 pill in the morning and 2 pills in the evening...

I'll double check this evening but I think they are 5 mg pills. I'm also on Pristiq.

Gotcha. So you are just going up to a higher dosage than I am on. Makes sense to me Good luck to you. I don't feel anything yet so we'll see - only been a few days.

They are actually 10 mg tablets, so I go from 20 mg to 25 mg then 30 mg. It's probably just because it is a high dose.
