Breast Pump suggestions.....

I'm looking for suggestions for a good breast pump?  I currently have a first years brand that is a pain in the neck.  I didn't know if there were any brands out there that you could actually use and have your hands free to do other things while pumping?  Also one that is easy to pack up and travel easily with would be helpful too.  Thanks for your help!

    I used the Medela "Swing" to pump exclusively for over a year, and was quite happy with it.  I did quite a bit of research on which model would best suit my needs, and I had similar wants as you.  As far as I know, it is the only single electric pump on the market, or at least it was at the time back in '08. At the hospital, I was able to use a Medela "Symphony", which is the double electric pump, and I honestly only used one pump at a time.  Anyways, the "Swing" comes with a bag that is great for carrying all the parts around in. The only thing I found a bit of a pain was that the included tube was rather short, so I used a longer one that they gave me at the hospital.  Overall I was very happy with the pump.

    I have a Medela Pump in Style Advanced & highly recommend it.  I also highly suggest getting a hands free pumping bra- looks totally funny but soooooooo insanely helpful!

    I have also been using the Medela Pump In Style Advanced for the past 9 months, and I really like it. I have had no problems with it whatsover. Plus I have dealt with Medela customer service, and they are great to work with! They sent me free replacement tubing with no questions and super quick shipping. Highly recommend!

    I use th Pump in Style Advanced as well and am very happy with it (and insurance covered it for multiples - sweet!).  I've heard of moms just cutting holes in a sports bra to make a hands free pumping bra.  I haven't tried it yet myself, but it sounds like a good idea and cheaper than buying one.

    I use the sports bra trick and it works great!!! When I pump at work I can eat lunch, read, etc.!!

    I have used both a Medela Pump in Style and an Ameda Purely Yours -> I would recommend the Ameda hands down!!  It is cost effect and much gentler in my personal opinion as I pumped for 9+ months with both girls at work up to 3 times a day.
