GIRL! Madelyn Grace was born on May 13 at 9:59 am. She weighed 7 lb 5 oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. This c section experience was much better than my first, which was an emergency c section. DD#1 and MIL came to visit twice and it went really well. DD mostly ignored the baby, but already calls her Maddy and touched her feet a few times. She loves the present the baby got her so I'm glad we did that. We got home yesterday and 2 under 2 is hard so far. As expected DD#2 has her days and nights very mixed up. And I wish my bed was like the one in the hospital - it is torture getting out of it to get DD and feed her in the middle of the night. But we are so excited to have 2 beautiful daughters.

What present did DD get? I packed a Doodle Pad for DD as a gift from the baby, she loves to draw so I hope she'll like it.

Congrats! That's wonderful news. I'm so glad the second c-section was easier than the first. I had an emergency c-section with DD and I've been worried about how it's going to be the second time around (even though I'm not pregnant yet). So, I'm glad to hear it was easier.

Congratulations on a sweet baby girl and a better birth experience than last time. Mine are 27 months apart, so not two-under-two, but still not easy. Don't expect too much of yourself (or them) for the first few months. For your own sanity, lower your expectations on what equals a productive day or what equals an accomplishment (washing dishes or folding laundry is a huge feat sometimes, and you should pat yourself on the back...seriously).
