Hi - I went to turn the grill (bbq) on last night and he freaked out! don't turn the grill on what if something happens? I was like are you serious? I cook on the grill 3 times a week for the last 5 years and now I can't grill w/o his help? I guess it's his protective side coming out! yikes ! it made me laugh afterwards. But geez!
just wanted to share.
thanks
Re: Is your hubby acting as if your injured?
Not all the time but he has his moments. Yesterday I moved on the couch and something hurt in my abdomen and then later we went on a walk and it was still tender. I told him about it and he said, "Be careful with that, there's a baby in there."
Yup, mine too.
He asked me last night if I was SURE I could handle going to the store to get the dog food last night because the bags weighs a whole 25 pounds.
In his defense, when I got there and smelled all the dog smells I wish I would have sent him instead, so maybe he's onto something.
Pregnancy #1- Yes.
Pregnancy #2- No.
Mine too. I was napping the other day because I was DEAD tired and he actually woke me up to ask me why I was being "so lazy." He's lucky I didn't have the energy to get up and find a weapon.

I would have thrown something at DH had he said that!
Mine is more concerned about my temper and stress and what it might do. If I get too worked up about something, he tries to calm me down.
My hubby did this last night. It was my first midnight pee run. I also lost my eye mask and he spent a good 20 minutes finding it so I could sleep in in the morning.
My ms went away and then came back this weekend so I threw up both says... this morning I felt horrible and had to sit on a stool to curl my hair (instead of just standing at the sink). He told me he's worried and I should call in sick from work. Sweet- but if i called in for MS I would not have worked for the past 6 weeks!
On the other hand- he'll be out of town for work at the end of August (almost to the 3rd tri) and he thinks I should be able to carry our 50lb lab mix up and down the stairs every time I take her out to the bathroom (she has a bum knee).... yeah- I don't think so!
My DH is doing this with the cat...though he weighs less than 10lbs. Lol. Don't think baby cares right now.
This. Boo. It annoyed the first time around, and now I miss it. : )
"A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for"
My DH is on both sides of the fence ...I almost wish he'd pick a side!!
One minute he's telling me how good it feels to get things off our To Do list...while I'm laying on the sofa feeling miserable ...but then later on he tells our DS "shhh mommies sleeping, she needs her rest"
Friday night we got into an arguement...well, more him yelling at me (long story), but in the end I was picking up boxes full of stuff, carrying them upstairs and what not and he says, "I hope you don't think you'll get sympathy if you have a miscarriage, no one is making you do that stuff" ...I came back with, "yeah I know, you wouldn't give a sh*t" ...Did I mention we were arguing ? But then Sunday I was doing some stuff and he's all, "here, let me get that for you, I don't want you over doing it" ...

DH acts like I'm made of glass at times when it comes to certain things, but if I insist on being OK he tends to back off with a comment like, "OK, but I'm just sayin' ... you know, that's my baby in there and I just want the best."
It makes it hard to be angry with him, but the sight of the shotgun in my hand generally gets the point across he needs to back off. (kidding!!!)
