2nd Trimester

How are you feeeeelling?

I don't mind when people ask me this question because I realize it is just small talk to most people and then we move on to talk about other things. Well, not my mom. She has taken this question to a whole new level.

Seriously, that is the only thing she asks me. Over and over within the same conversation. She called me and asked me that same question 4 times within that 2 minute phone call. I give her the same response everytime- "I'm fine". I'm not lying, I really am fine. I've been really lucky to have hardly any symptoms. It is like she is hoping I'm going to give her a a different response by asking it repeatedly.

She came into my work, and within the 1st minute of our conversation she asked me how I was feeling 3 times! On that 3rd time I totally snapped. I told her if she asks me that one more time I will scream. I was not kidding. She said "Oh, it's a mom thing, you'll understand some day."

Seriously, I really hope I do not drive my kids nuts like she is doing to me.

Ahhh, vent over.

LOL, would you expect anything else from her? Nope!

  • at a party on Sat, everyone kept asking me that.  Even though someone had JUST asked me.  So in a room full of people, I just kept saying "pretty great! thanks!  pretty great, thanks!  pretty great, thanks!"

I can only imagine that it will get more annoying.

actually i expect worse :) im hiding from her when i go home lol
  • OMG, my mom, stepmom, MIL all ask me this constantly. I feel like people expect me to break in half any moment or something when they ask me this all the time! I've been a good sport so far but soon I'm going to have to come up with snarky responses to change it up a bit, if only for my own amusement.

He's growing up, but he'll always be my baby!
