Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Anyone have a Graco Sarah, Ashleigh or Shelby?

I have to buy a new crib since ours was recalled.  I am debating whether to spend the $250 or so on a new one or go with a cheaper model.  We may or may not have another child.  But DS#1's crib was beat up when he was teething.

If you have these cribs, please tell me what you like or don't like about them.  Thanks.

  • I have the Shelby and so far I love it. I got it in the dark walnut color and it is really beautiful and feels very sturdy. the only draw back I have found is it is a little low. That being said, it is only a problem if you want your dust ruffel to look perfect.

All and all I think it is a great crib and well worth the money.

  • I have the Sarah and love it. It is high enough off the ground that I was able to put a storage bin with extra blankets under it (maybe a 7-8 inch tall tote). Our downside is that our dust ruffle ends several inches above the ground, but our mattress is also in the highest position since LO is not sitting yet so that may look better later when I lower the mattress and the bin will still fit later also. It is sturdy and went together quickly and easily with a drill (my dad and FI put it together). The crib is light weight enough that I can shift it around the room by myself if I needed to. I think I have the "Cinnamon" color which I only found at BRU. It was the middle wood tone there. I think it is a beautiful wood tone, one of my favorites...
  • I have a Graco Sarah. I don't like that it's so tall, because I'm short and have trouble leaning over to set a sleeping baby down. If your baby falls asleep on his/her own in a crib, you might not have that problem though.

But otherwise, it's a nice looking crib. We haven't started teething yet, so don't know how it will hold up to that.

Oh, I didn't think of that. FI and I chose this crib because we are both tall and had no problems bending over the side. I barely have to bend to get LO in the crib at the highest setting. I'm 5'7" and FI is 6'2"....
