Yeah. 3-6 months is the worst time for SIDS to occur and it's worse in boys. One of the worst seasons for it is the winter so that's a relief right there. With DS, he was peak age in the peak season. I was always checking his breathing
I will not read the article because it will only freak me out. My LO is a little over 5 months and i feel more confident because he can move around on his own a lot more. I have a cousin that just lost her baby to SIDS this weekend at 2 weeks. I find it so scary. I can only pray that God will keep him safe!
It's really best to play it safe and follow all safe sleep practices until at least age 1. I'd rather know I did everything in my power to reduce the risks, such as a Halo sleepsack instead of loose blankets, no pillows, bumpers, or soft toys, and using a fan.
Re: When does SIDS risk peak/drop?
According to this it peaks at 3 months and drops at 6 months
