anyone here know how BRU is for returns. I heard that it if you add something to your registry that you got at your shower you can return it to the store. Anyone know if this is true?
I did this with a pack n play I got. It was an online only thing so I was really nervous about returning it at the store but they said as long as it was on my registry it was no problem at all. So I added it to my registry and returned it for the one I wanted. Good luck!!!
Oh by the way, I added it to my registry a couple days before we went to return it just to make sure it showed up when I went to the store
Did not work for us. Our BRU is crap. I've added items to my registry, marked it as purchased, and EVEN THEN they wouldn't take it back. All they said to me was, "We can see that you were the one who marked it as purchased." When I told them that we didn't get any gift receipts, they said it was my job to educate my guests about giving gift receipts. Um yeah, like that's not tacky or anything.
Every time we've tried returning or even exchanging something at our BRU, we get in almost a yelling match with them. They suck in our area.
I've really cheated at my registry too! I bought several things on amazon.com because they were cheaper than at BRU. I kept the items on my registry there and just marked them as bought. I don't intend to return them, but I figured it would be easier to return them there than amazon if there was a problem.
Wow that sucks. We received so much clothes there's no way this kid could wear them all and went to return them at different spots. Everyone was so great with letting me return them. I had zero problems at BRU. They scanned everything and a few things were from other stores and they wouldn't take those but there was a ton from BRU people didn't give me a receipt for and the stuff wasn't even on my registry. They even let me decide to keep stuff that they would only give me the sale price for. Not sure if it's just the different BRU that have different policies. Carters and Target were both great letting me return stuff with no receipt. Target lets you do this with up to $70/year with no receipt and no restrictions at either BRU or Target.
