Hi all-
This question is mainly for those who've been pregnant already. Have any of you had a period although you were early in pregnancy? I have a friend that was ovulating just a few days before her TOM, so I'm wondering, in a situation like that, would she still have that next period or would getting pregnant immediately stop that from happening? I'm not sure if people always miss that next period or if sometimes, by the time they miss AF, they're 5-6 weeks along? I'm still early in my TTC- only been off the pill for 2 months now, so I'm not sure of my ovulation time, etc. Just trying to see what's happening to others. Thanks!

Re: Can you be pregnant and still get a period?
You can have spotting that would seem period-like but it is not a period.
This excatly. If you've ever seen the show "I didn't Know I was PG" the OBGYN that they interview on there says some woman do experience what they "believe is their period" early on in PG. But medically it's not a period.

I gotta ya now, you were asking for yourself and mentioned your friend because she spotted when she first got PG!! Okay! Well with this I'd tell you temping can help keep that thought out of your mind. I think almost all of us here have had that hope when we have a really light period...like "well maybe I'm actually PG". If you temp your BBT in the morning then when it drops it's just a reality check for your brain of "OK, I'm really really really, not pregnant!"
Lurk some on the board and you will learn ALOT

This is SO true!! I really would've thought that maybe I was PG this cycle and last cycle after only having 1 day long AF if it hadn't been for my temps. (actually I did end up testing last cycle, just because I stopped temping once I started) spotting).
