I have a couple of diapers that have unfinished PUL edges and I haven't noticed any fraying...but I've only washed htem a handful of times so far so I can't speak for longevity.
Pixy, did you use a pattern for your pail liner? I'm wanting to make my own (and my JoAnn's actually sells PUL!), and have been looking for simple directions or a pattern.
Nope. I just made a simple bag (pillowcase style) and put 1 inch elastic around the top.
This is what my mom is going to do for me, only with a drawstring or zipper.
She was a tad upset that people on etsy are selling tiny ones for $20+ and texted me with "CALL ME NOW" so thinking someone died I called and she made me look up a seller and asked if I liked the fabric on a certain bag ($29) and I do, it's adorable and she says "GOOD because that's the exact same thing I'm making you!" I think she's starting to see a huge customer base for CDing items.
Re: Do unfinished PUL edges fray?
Not really. They'll get fuzzy, but not necessarily fray.
Wrangling large cuts of PUL can be a royal PITA. Thus, oh, so fun pail liner making.
