  • Thank you so much! I maybe able to survive the rest of spring!
  • My list from my doctor lists Benadryl, Claritin, and Zyrtec.

I take Zyrtec every day right now.  Otherwise I'm miserable.

  • I take claritin
  • I was told no allegra. Which is what I take for my allergies.
  • My doctor said claritin, sudafed and benadryl.  You may want to just call and consult your doctor to be on the safe side.

  • I'm taking the regular OTC Claratin (not Claratin-D....apparently the D is bad).  My doctor confirmed this week that I am fine to continue taking it.

  • I take zyrtec and singulair daily.  I have been taking it daily for 6 years and my doctor told me not to stop after getting a BFP.

  • My allergist has said that the only Category B allergy medicine is Chlor-Trimeton, which is an OTC drug. But he also said that most obgyns would confirm that Zyrtec (Category C) is generally safe to take. My allergies are mostly skin related, not so much sneezing and runny eyes, so the Chlor-Trimeton does little to offer relief for my symptoms. I suggest that you give that one a shot...One downside - it only works for 4-6 hours, unlike Zyrtec which lasts 24 hours :) Good luck!

I was told Benadryl was perfectly safe.. your best bet would be to ask your doctor if whatever you used to take is still ok. They will be able to give you a list of what's safe.

This website has most drugs on it. If you're unsure, call you doctor, but it's a handy guide.
