PP swollen feet - when to call?

Hi girls, I haven't had much time to get on here obviously, so I haven't made an introduction yet. But I am slowly making the switch and lurking to get info. from you mamas!

Anyways, my Dr. told me that some people swell and some people don't. He gave me a rx for it and I took one yesterday and two today. They were really bad last night and this morning. I think it's because I've been doing so much moving around, but not quite sure. I can't remember what he told me. I want to say he said call immediately, but maybe that was about fever.

Did any of yall experience it? And what did you do or your Dr. say about it? I am pretty sure I'm gonna give him a call this afternoon if it keeps up.

Especially c-section mamas - is it because I've been TOO mobile?

    I had terrible swelling after my c/s for about a week to a week and a half.  It was awful! The doctor and nurses told me to drink tons of water.  I did and it helped a lot.  I was very excited when one day I realized I had ankles again :).  My doctor never said anything about calling about the swelling, but if you're worried it doesn't hurt to call.

    Congrats on your handsome little man! He's adorable!

    My swelling was AWFUL post c/s and probably more uncomfortable than the surgery itself. I was swollen for about 2w pp. My dr. said to keep drinking water to help flush everything out

    I had ridiculous swelling for almost 2 weeks pp. Drink as much water as you can and keep your feet up as much as you can.
    Oct 2008 m/c #1 5 weeks, May 2009 m/c #2 4w5d. BFP 6/23/09 EDD 3/8/10!

    Yes, It's because you've been too mobile. Mine we at least 2 times as big as they ever were during my pregnancy for 8 days. K was in the NICU and I had to walk from my room to the NICU every 3 hours... the first day that we were home and I stayed sitting down throughout the day, the swelling finally went away!

    Make people wait on you, and try to sit and sleep with your feet elevated to help!

    I had TERRIBLE swelling after my c/s. I had to stay off of my feet as much as possible which was so hard with a newborn! Just try to have someone bring the baby to you as much as they can so you can stay with your feet up, but don't stay sitting too much either--get up and walk every once in a while. I remember my knees were huge and it felt like I was carrying around weights on my legs. It was just terrible. Drink lots of fluids. Get well soon---and congrats!!!
