When DS could walk on his own. I found that onesies are a lot easier than tees for crawling around and being picked up. Tees would always ride up on DS.

I didn't buy any past 18 months. I liked them as undershirts only then...I stopped liking the onesie look on him around a year old, but used them under t-shirts/button up shirts/sweaters to cover his belly.

Same here...I used them as undershirts in the winter past 12 months, but didn't put them in them by themselves much after 12 months. Now that he's in 24 months, I only bought a few long sleeve white onsies to get through the colder months of spring. I don't plan on buying more.

I used onesies until about maybe 18 months, and then had 3-4 onesies tops in 24 months that DS wore a couple of times after that.

until about 15-18 months. he wore them at night under PJs.

they are really useful until potty training for layers in the winter!!

No, we don't use them anymore. I think we stopped using them when he started walking, which was around 12 months(age)/18 months(sizing). The length was getting too short, and they just seemed more baby-ish to me, so we didn't ever buy any in size 24 months. Plus, they must be harder to find, because in all of the 24 month/2T clothing I've looked at, I've seen very few.

Until very recently, DD wore them as an undershirt under her clothes and sometimes under her pjs. She still fits into Carter's 18 month.

Now that she is interested in the potty, they are an inconvenience, plus she doesn't need to layer with the warmer weather.

I stopped using onesies around 7-8 months for DS2.

DS1 stopped wearing them around 12-15 months. He was a winter baby and I put them under his clothes during the colder season. Onesies as outerwear, I stopped putting him in around 7-8 months also.

I used onesies as a t-shirt on my 2 year, 2 month old son up until a few weeks ago as I'm in Michigan and springs are still pretty chill. Great for under shirts/sweaters when it's cold and his first shirt rides up. Obviously in summer I won't and think we'll be done with the onesie by fall for sure as I'm hoping he's PT by then.

As far as onesie shirts as part of an outfit I probably stopped for the most part when he was about 12 months or so unless there was a really cute shirt that only came in a onesie or I had him in overalls.

He hasn't worn any 'onesie' type outer shirts since last summer. I don't like the way they look now, he's too old, IMO. I do still put him in the white Carter's onesies underneath his t-shirt on colder days. I feel like it keeps him warmer. But, I've only seen them go up to 24 months so I guess we'll be done with onesies once these get too snug on him. Oh well, we'd have to stop soon anyway for PT.

I still use them underneath DD's pajamas as an extra layer for warmth.

I'd say about 50% of DD's summer tops are also the onesie/bodysuit style. She's small and just now moving into size 24 months and many of the shirts in that size come as onesies. I don't think she's going to be ready to potty train this summer so it's not a problem.

We stopped using them when we started potty training. The last size we have is 24 months. We bought undershirts (camisoles) which work just fine.

DS still wears them (24 month size), but will be outgrowing them very soon. I actually still like them, but I don't think they make a bigger size.

probably about 1 year to 18 months I stopped using them, however, he got in a phase with taking his diaper off so we had to go out and buy some 24 mo. onesies, but his daily clothes are not onesies.

Around a year. I just didn't like the look anymore. I liked more normal clothes on her. It was nice not having to worry about snapping them anymore!

Even in winter, I never used them as an extra layer. We live in a cold area, but I just never found it really necessary.

I just put the rest of them away today (they were 18 month size and all long sleeve). She is in 18 month and some 24 month now and I dont plan on buying anymore because we're going to start potty training.

I still use them (DD wore one today with shorts running around outside) DD is on the smaller side and was still fitting into 6-9 month Carters but is just now getting too long for them. She now is wearing the 9-12 month and I just bought a package of 18 month with cute designs on them.

At about the 18 month size. I stopped using them because she is potty trained and they are too difficult to deal with considering all the undressing we do.

We used them until about 2 yrs. But mostly just under pajamas in cold weather, or under a sweater or poncho. She has quite a few 24mo/2T outfits that are onesies/pants or onesies/skirts, but I don't really care for them.

No way! I stopped buying them when #1 was about 4-5 months and ran out of other ones we had around a year or so. With #2 I avoided them after the first 3 months or so. Once they are not pooping all.the.time I think onesies are a totally PITA to try to check and see if they need to be changed, so much easier with a shirt on.
