"When the world says, "Give up" hope whispers, "Try one more time"
After 4yrs, 5 IUI's, 2 IVF's, 2 FET's, PGD, and 5 losses our little miracle is finally here!
I really like Dr. Schwarz (M) and I love Dr. Gerardis (F). They both work out of the same office with two other OBs - Dr. Kopp (F) who is very nice though I've only spoken to her on the phone, and Dr. Silva (F) - who I don't like very much.
So my first rec is Dr. Gerardis and second would be Dr. Schwarz.
I love Dr. Gerardis as well and have been seeing her for many years. Unfortunately, when i got PG I had to meet with the other docs in the practice and didn't like any of them. So being that there was no guarantee that Dr. Gerardis was going to deliver my baby, I wound up going to see another OB.
The OB I see now is high risk, so I'm not sure that helps.
I've heard the Dr. Gallo is great and also Dr. Keanchong is also good.
I go to Dr. Gerardis also and she delivered DD, but I also see Dr. Silva when I have to and have liked her. I feel like they all, including Gerardis, seem to be in a rush and I hate that. Oh well..they're busy, but why didn't you like Dr. Silva? I do feel like she acts inexperienced or not as knowledgable as Gerardis, but she is super nice. I didn't like Kopp at all..and not fond of Dr. Schwartz, he is nice but I prefer a female and someone younger. I MIGHT look into the above reccomended doctor..
Alana - what do you love about Dr. Sbarra and is he out of Hackensack?

I felt very rushed with Dr. Silva and Dr. Kopp, like they were literally reaching for the door knob after they were in the room with me for 2 minutes, never asked if I had any questions. I get that they are busy, but i found it to be such a turn off especially being my first pregnancy. The cherry on top was when I called the office (before I was deemed high risk) to tell them I was experiencing very strange heart palpitations and Dr. Schwartz who was on call that day told the receptionist to tell me that it doesn't sound like it's pregnancy related and I should call my primary care. That brush off was the last straw for me. I wound up going into the hospital that night due to the palpitations and my blood pressure and heart rate was through the roof. I spent the night in the ER and was diagnosed with high blood pressure, probably due to the pregnancy (suck it Dr. Schwartz).
I just started going to Bergen OBGYN after 2 others that I didn't like. Have only seen Dr. Cho once but I like her so far. My son was screaming while she did my fist pregnancy apt and it didn't phase her.
The nurses were really nice too. They are in river edge, good luck!
I love Dr. Gerardis!!! She and Dr. Silva delivered my dd Dr. Silva very nice but I do feel like she doesn't know as much. Dr. Kopp--very smart and knows alot but she rushed me like crazy every appt I saw her and very short with her answers...Dr. Schwartz--nice guy but too old & he never worries about anything...had an experience with him at 14wks-he couldn't get the heartbeat and told me not to worry-- there shouldn't be anything wrong...I'm like well, you better have me go for an ultrasound because god forbid there is!!! Thank God there wasn't but he is too lacks for me!!!
