38 weeks today and I feel like I still have so much too do-
hang curtains, was the car seat cover, test the monitor, set up the mobile... clean the house, do a big grocery shop (and a bunch of house to do items) that simply can't get put off until after LO arrives. DH and I were trying to figure out how to get it all done... he is on nights for the next 2 weeks so i won't see him... ah
anyone else feel this way?
Re: who feels like they are running out of time?
Me!!!!
I'm also 38wks today. I'll be at work another week and I haven't put the baby shower gifts away, organized her room, washed her clothes, still need to buy a few things. She won't be sleeping in her nursery til a few months later. We have a bassinet going in our room but I still wanted to do her nursery before her arrival. I started getting the rest of the house ready but haven't finished
I'm changing all linens, taking down blinds and washing them, etc etc. I feel like a horrible mother already! I'm so exhausted by the time i get home from work and on the weekends I have to do everything in small projects because I get so tired so fast
. I 'm hoping she hangs on to her due date or maybe a few days later
it'll give me a week off from work and time to finish up.
Yes, yes, yes!
I reached single digits today...yikes
We still haven't got anywhere for her to sleep - only ordered the crib last week!
I have a handful of clothes in 0-3 months and a handful of receiving blankets.
And that's it so far. Hoping I don't go into labor too early!
I'm 30 weeks, and after starting to decorate the nursery I found out WE'RE MOVING!
I have no job, no home, and we haven't sold our house yet.... not to mention no child care if anyone will ever hire me.
DEFINITELY feel out of time..
I agree fully!! Luckily this week my boss cut down my hours to part time so I actually was able to get a LOT of the stuff done. I was just too tired at then end of each day and the weekends were just so busy!
As it seems like he is going to hold out for the long haul I think I will have next week as well.?
LOL. when you feel overwhelmed- think of me and you will smile and think I can do everything.....
I have so much to do and it isn't just baby related. My husband had major surgery in March and now my FIL is in Hospital. Husband's surgery was unplanned and he couldn't even drive until recently. My FIL is my go-to person for help with my husband but now he is in the hospital. We have rushed and called in help to finish 4 large house projects we started before I got prego . Today was the final day of big projects- now the massive cleanup.
Everyone room is everywhere. Dust is everywhere. pictures are off walls. All closets are emptied. most furniture is pulled away from walls. We have lived like this for months upon months as we were going to do these projects ourselves with a little help. Babies room was painted this week and trim is still drying. We don't have the crib, dresser, or rocket yet- ordered in early april. I am hoping to get in this weekend to vacuum and begin to pile gifts we have already received. No bag packed for hospital. Nothing has been washed. Husband and I haven't been to BRU to pick up stuff. Haven't been to the grocery store in 2 weeks. 15+ phone messages to listen too.
I pray that my husband recovers quickly and my FIL is released from the hospital in good health. My only wish is that our baby doesn't arive until our house is a little cleaner and husband is recovered.
I'm trying to accept the fact that there is no way I will every get everything done. I am going on 36 weeks pregnant and we are moving in 2 weeks. Talk about crazy! The nursery is the only room in the house I've begun packing because I'm throwing a shower for my best friend this weekend. I'm scared to death this little one will show up early then what on earth will I do???
Let's not even talk about preparing to be out of the office for 10-12 weeks and all the stress that is causing or the fact that I have nothing washed or ready for the baby...
