TMI:for 2nd time moms

I never went into labor w/ DS (I was induced) so I don't really know...did your discharge increase right before or soon before labor started? Since yesterday I have had a huge increase in discharge...very mucousy...is this a sign?? I did google it and didn't get much info. I take off my pad and my underwear are wet! Yuck. Thanks ladies. I'm not really concerned and if I was I would call my dr!

    It could be your MP, which is not a sign that labor is imminent. I've also had an increase of discharge over the past week or so - but I'm not showing any signs of labor :(

    I was coming on here to post the same thing! My water with DD1 broke and was then induced bc of no labor.

    This morning I've had a TON of discharge and super thick and mucousy. 

    Who knows!

    2. Bloody show: Loss of mucus plug. During pregnancy, a thick plug of mucus protects your cervical opening from bacteria entering the uterus. When your cervix begins to thin and relax, this plug is expelled. Some women think the plug will look solid like a cork, but it is actually stringy mucus or discharge. It can be clear, pink or blood tinged and can appear minutes, hours or even days before labor begins. Not all women notice this sign.

    I was induced with DD as well. Increase in discharge is normal and may or may not be a sign of labor. I noticed you asked if it would be bloody in a PP. If it is it may be the MP or bloody show. But, like others have said loss of MP doesn't mean labor anytime soon either.

    FWIW- I did lose my MP with DD and it was mostly mucous, sorry if TMI ;p

    i had increased discharge towards the end, but I didnt lose my MP..I went into labor on my own by 39w
