Reading some of the comments on the name post that caused some drama, made me wonder when everyone chose their names and how many times you changed it. Not trying to cause any drama or anything, I am seriously just wondering. I think I am in the minority... we had our names picked out by the time I was 11wks (for both a boy and girl). We stuck with our name and haven't changed it or even thought about changing them since.

We had our girl name picked out from the beginning. We were always on the hunt for a boy name. After we were confirmed team blue at 20 weeks we kicked up decision process for our little man. We both fell in love and never changed the name.

I had my girl name picked out very soon .. like round the 12th week but her middle name took forever cuz I wanted it to "flow" and her name is different so the middle name wasnt n place till I was round 24 weeks. The boy name changed about 5 times.
But my LO is a little girl so it worked out great : Blair Elaine
With DD we had picked a boy name right away and had a few candidates for girl names. We didn't settle on a name until she was born - DH saw her and agreed to my favorite name.
With DS we're using the boy name we'd picked for DD. We could not agree on a girl name.
DD#1 is 3! And LO#2 is on his/her way! Due Feb 26th, 2014.

Once I found the name Annalise for DD, we were set. Before that we were throwing around a lot of options. (Well, I was. DH just vetoed everything.) Nothing felt right until I saw the name Annalise.
We have a boy's name picked out from the first time because it's the only one we both liked. Alexander. No middle name, but we don't really have to worry about that until or if we have a #3.
This time we've been talking about Elizabeth (on our list the first time) and Allison. I was pretty set on Elizabeth for a while but kept looking. Now I really feel like Charlotte is "it". Annalise loves it too. DH thinks it's too old fashioned, and he hates the nickname Char. So we're working on him. I kind of feel like once you find the right name, you just know.

We had our girl name picked out years ago. Before we were even engaged (we've been together over 11 years now, only married 2). Honestly, if we hadn't picked it out so long ago (and agreed so easily) we probably would not choose the name now since it is officially #1 in the country.... (ugh)
Boys names we really struggled with, but I was determined to have at least a near decision by our big u/s. We did eventually pick one, and DH even said he still wants to use it if our next baby is a boy! I didn't know he liked it that much!
My theory on it was once we decided, we weren't changing. We are both too opinionated so it was easier to say to people "the name IS ---" rather than "we're considering...". I also didn't want to hear other people's opinions on the matter.
We had a list of names we liked, found out it's a boy, and picked one we loved! Haven't changed our minds...or even wavered. Henry Arthur is what we picked and who he'll be.
We like traditional names.... it was between Madelyn and Abigail. We chose Madelyn. We chose Kay as the middle name because that is my middle name, and my mother's middle name.
Kay was never a question, but it took us quite awhile to decide on Madelyn. In fact, it was only about a month ago that we officially decided.
