Hi,
I mostly hang out on the second and third trimester boards but thought this might be the most appropriate place for my question.
So DH and I had pretty much decided on the name Maya Isabella for our LO and we haven't told anyone yet.
We went to lunch with some friends the other day and one of them says: Well, I hope you aren't naming her Isabella - that is now so popular because of Twilight (neither DH or I even knew that one of the Twilight characters were named Isabella).
Anyways, my question is, would you associate the same Isabella with Twilight? I personally want to keep it because I really like the name and since we are only using it as a middle name but DH now has some doubts. What do you think?
TIA
Re: Need opinions...
I think if you named her Isabella and NN Bella, then yes... twilight association. But, because Isabella is your middle name... I wouldn't think twice.
I love your name by the way!
I would never associate that name with that movie/book. I've never seen/read them. I think Isabella is a beautiful name.
In 10 years no one is going to care that you used the name Isabella when those movies were popular. They'll be in the $5 bargain bin at Walmart by that time!
That name is gorgeous. Don't change it!
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I prefer Isabel, for what it's worth!
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

Thanks so much for your opinions everyone! I think we will keep it since it is a middle name.
I really appreciate it!
Good call - this has always bugged me about movies and TV shows.
