Oh no...stupid boobs!

Well maybe I should have tried on my dress before today, but I have just realized that the dress I was planning on wearing to a wedding tomorrow is a good 3 inches from closing up top! Crap!

It fits fine everywhere else, so I was wondering if anyone had a trick that I can use to macgyver it closed in the back and then stick a cardigan over it? A bit sad, but I really don't want to go buy a new dress todayEmbarrassed

Re: Oh no...stupid boobs!

  • I by no means have huge boobs, but if I'm ever worried about a top being too low or something, I just put a tank top or tube top underneath and it cuts off the cleav. I don't know what colour/fabric your dress is, but maybe if you have a small top you can put underneath that just closes up the 'v' a bit?

  • I had to wear a dress this weekend to my mother's wedding reception that fit great 3 weeks ago at her wedding. Unfortunately the girls have already grown a cup size and so I had to wear a sweater over it to hide that I could zip it. I also put a safety pin in the top so the zipper wouldn't slip down.
  • This may be a long shot, but go to Joanns or a similar store and get some elastic (really wide) and some safety pins. You should be able to safety pin it to both sides and it will be much more comfortable/breathable. Definitely agree with previous poster also use safety pin to keep zipper from falling.

It will be ugly, but a cardigan should cover it up and it should lay flat.

  • Thanks, these are some good ideas! I shudder to think how big my boobs are going to be when this is over....I'm guessing at least an 'F' if I keep on this track...yikes!

  • Try the biggest safety pin you can find. I don't really know any other way to get it closed.
