***Rachel, what can we do for Kellie and Ella?***
Can we take up a collection? Maybe for some gift cert.'s to restaurants since they're far from home? Send something soft and cuddly to Ella?
We have to do something to brighten their days....we just do....I can't even begin to imagine.....
I'd like to offer to set up a fund via Paypal and then we could take a vote to decide on how it's to be spent. What do you think?

A coworker had a son treated at St. Jude when he was a baby. She said the thing that helped the most for them was gift cards for grocery stores, restaurants, and gas stations.
St. Jude is a great place and they won't have to pay for any housing while there.
I'm not sure if they will allow any type of stuffed animal or soft toy for Ella. Things like that hold germs. My coworker said they were told to bring toys that could be wiped down with clorox wipes.

I am definitely in. These acts of kindness meant so much to us when we were in the hospital with my mom. Just let me know when and where.

I sent her a message on facebook about this last night and she told me that as soon as she knows for sure what is going on (hopefully today) that we'll get something going. I can't imagine what Kellie and Dustin are going through, especially to just have their world turned upside down in a matter of an hour, and I think that anything we can do would be helpful.
What would ya'll also think about along with whatever money/giftcard/etc we send that we each (whoever feels comfortable in doing this) send a card of encouragement?
Thank you so much, you guys! Candi contacted me yesterday about this....I told her I'd like to wait until they get the results today. Just so we know a little extra information. I spoke with her this morning via text, and this is a very, very hard day for her. I don't want to bombard her with all of the technical stuff just yet.
I will, no doubt, be going to visit them just as soon as we know more. So, I'd be more than happy to take her anything you guys decide to send. I will say, Kellie is a very sentimental person. She loves cards. If there is anyone who can't send money, please send a card. That will mean as much (if not more) than money.

I think contributing through paypal for a giftcard and sending cards are both great ideas and would love to participate.
