Babies: 3 - 6 Months

If your baby goes to bed between 7 and 8pm...

What time do they wake up for the day?

B goes to bed then, and gets up for day between 6:45 and 7:45 am. She wakes up at 5 for a bottle though. And sometimes will wake up randomly, but after I put her paci in, shes usually goes rihgt back out.

My husband thinks she goes to bed too early...but thats when she falls asleep. Trying to keep her up would just make a mad cranky baby.

Yeah, thats what I said! It kinda suck because we dont get home from work till about 5:30 or 6, so that leaves 1 to 2 hours to hang out with her. But she seems happy with it.

He usually says this when she has her random 3 or 4 am wake ups. But she had those when she went to bed at 9pm too..

  • At about that age DS started to go to bed at 7pm and he would sleep through until 6:15am and then we would take him to our bed to play a little before feeding him at 7am.  He has been on this schedule for almost 2 months now.  DH also thinks it is "too early" but that is only because he wants him to sleep until around 8am so DH can also sleep in.

It won't matter whether you put her to bed at 7, 8 or even 10pm, she will still wake up at the same time each day for feeding.  We have found DS is in a routine and no matter what time he goes to bed, he is always up at the same time, so why fight it... let her go to bed earlier if it keeps her from being grumpy.

  • There is no way LO could go to bed later.  She takes a cat nap around 5 and then can make it till 8:30 at the absolute latest.  If she skips a nap, it's 7:30.

I just wish she'd sleep a little later, it seems to be about 3:30 that she wakes to eat.

  • DD goes to sleep around 6:30 - 7:30, i do a dreamfeed at 10:00, then she sometimes sleeps straight until 6:00 AM, (but usually she wakes around 3:00 to feed).  Trust me, we couldn't keep her up any later if we tried.  She would be one cranky baby!
  • Pretty much same here as what every one else said.  DD goes down usually around 8-8:30 and wakes around 3am for a feeding.  Then she usually sleeps 'till 6something and I bring her to our bed 'till I'm ready to get up.

  • DD falls asleep around 7:30 and wakes up between 6-7 a.m.  I couldn't keep her up longer at night if I tried.  She loves her sleep.

  • He'll usually wake anywhere between 3-6.  I'll feed him and he'll go back to sleep until 730 or 8.

Seriously. I dream of a weekend wakeup call of 8am lol. I can't even imagine 9:30.

  • My LO is on the EXACT same schedule...except its always 6:30ish that he's up for the day.  I could have written your post...that's funny!  And too early?!  No way...I like having some time with DH before bed...and I get up at 5 for the day, so I don't stay up late either.

  • DS goes to bed at 7pm always. He wakes up around 7-7:30 and if he's not up by 7:30 I usually wake him up. If I don't wake him up he's usually cranky most the day.

I don't think it's too early at all.

  • I agree I like having a little alone time...I have to get up at 5am too. So I dont stay up late, and I dont really mind that she wake up around five to eat because I have to be up anyways.

  • DD goes to bed around 8, sometimes a little earlier sometimes a little later.  She gets up between 2-3 to eat and then sometimes around 5 (if she was up around 2) and is ready to start her day around 630, although today it was 7:20 (which was a very pleasant suprise!).

We tried the going to bed later, she is just crabby and mad and still gets up early.

That sounds about like our schedule. Though DD often wakes around 11 or 12 to eat as well.
  • DD goes to bed at 8:30 and wakes up at 6:30 to eat.  She's usually up for about an hour and then falls back asleep for about 2 hours and then is up.  She doesn't nap well during the day so I think that's why she gets so much sleep at night and in the mornings...

  • We put him to bed at 7 and wake him up at 6 during the week. On the weekends, he has slept as late as 7, but usually wakes up around 6:15. He sometimes STTN, but usually wakes up hungry between 2:30 and 4:30.

  • DS sleeps from about 8 till about 6.  He occasionally will wake to eat between 1 and 4 am.  On a very good day, I can bring him back to bed with me at 6, and nurse him back down till 8/8:30.  But we;re usually up at 6.
  • Bed at 7, up at 6.

  • Bed time at 7:30, up once. maybe twice a night to feed and go back down. We wake him at 6:30 to head to the grandmothers! We enjoy "us" time after he is gone to bed!
  • Usually she's up between 5am-6am for a bottle, then goes back to sleep until 8-8:30am.
