s/o pampers dry max...

I found some disturbing pictures on this FB group of babies with chemical burns from the diapers, but even more disturbing was an experiement that one mom did. She tested the diapers out on her own leg.

Here are the results:

If we weren't already planning on CDing, I think this would make up my mind. We got a box of about 100 Pampers Cruisers (with dry max) at our shower. I was planning on just donating them but now I'd feel awful giving them to ANYONE. Yuck!

  • Wow. I wonder if she got it wet at all. That's so gross. We've been using disposable diapers while out and I hate even that.

  • Something is seriously wrong with those diapers.

  • I don't know about the reaction.  I've had something wet against my skin for that long and it looked like that.  I'd need further proof that it wasn't just the water causing the reaction.  Maybe if she had a wet washcloth against her leg for the same amount of time?

Even if you're changing your kids diaper frequently, there is a notable redness after just 15 minutes. And thats just once! Think of how many wet diapers in a day.... Ick! And did you see the other pics of the chemical burns? ::shudders::

And what gets me even more mad is not only have they allowed a product like this on the market, but they started sneaking these "dry max" diapers in to the regular packages months before their announced release! That's unethical to be swapping out products for something different without letting the consumer know.

She said it was sensitive to the touch. Water wouldn't cause sensitivity.
