Pregnant after 35

Greetings and Intro

Hi Women,

I wanted to introduce myself.  I just turned 36 on Cinco de Mayo and am having a little virgo girl.  2nd pregnancy-first one didn't work out... Feeling great and the baby looks absolutely fine in U/S.  I am having a home birth and am really excited to have found an awesome midwife group.  I kept thinking about how 'old' I am to be having my first kid-and how all my friends have had children already and whatnot but I'm happy to see this group here and am impressed with the quality of posts, responses and info that the women here share.  I also post in the LGBT parenting group.  Cheers and thanks for being here!

  • Welcome!!!  I had my first appt today and made a joke to my doc about being an old mom (I am 36 now, will be 37 when I deliver).  He looked at me like I was insane, said I was far from old and he refused to treat me like I was!  Loved that!!!  The whole over 35 thing is nothin'.   COngrats on your little virgo girl!!!
  • Welcome and congratulations on your impending baby! All of my friends have had their kids too so it is odd to be the only one still pregnant. That's what all these ladies are for!

  • Welcome and Congratulations!!
  • Aloha Seahorse Mama!!

Congrats on your Virgo Girl!  (I'm a Virgo myself, I'll be 41 on 8/28.)

I really enjoy this group of women.  Lots of insight and very little snark!

  • Please don't tell me you are too old to be having your first!  I will be 41 when my first and second are born!  Big Smile

    Congrats and welcome!
