natural alternative to Splenda?

I know that Spelnda is basically poisonous for your body but I LOVE IT! At this point, sugar tastes too sweet and sweet-n-low tastes so chemically (and I know that's not good for you either!).

What do you use as a sweetener?

  • Stevia. It's plant based and you can find it in powder and liquid form. I've even seen it in regular grocery stores recently as it's been gaining popularity now that people are trying to cut out things like chemical sweeteners.

  • Have you tried Xylitol? It's supposed to be good for you. I've seen it in the health food store. I haven't tried it yet but from my understanding there is no after taste.
  • Stevia, Agave nectar, honey.  Agave nectar is pretty sweet, though.

  • Thanks, y'all! I'll try some of those (not honey though- that's what my dad has in his coffee and I can't say that I like it! haha)

Our Kroger sells Stevia... although it's cheaper at Whole Foods..

  • agave nectar or organic sugar
  • Organic cane sugar or local raw honey.

I had always HATED honey up until I tried some local raw stuff at our farmer's market. It's delicious, and it has helped with my allergies.
