AH! My daycare lady is freaking me out!

My good friend is going to do daycare for LP so I can go back to work.  But I was just talking to her and she can't find any more kids right now!  She's talking about not doing daycare anymore.  Uh...she can't do that!  She's my daycare lady and I need her in March. 

 I know that's selfish for me to want her to keep doing it just for my kid and I know she wouldn't make enough money but I don't trust anyone else.  Now I'm totally freaking out.

    I understand your pain.

    -Ask around (like every one!!) call the local schools in you area.

    -Do interveiws, you can tell a idiot when your talking to one!

     That's crazy though, it was near impossible for me to find an infant slot at all

    I seriously feel sick.  One of the reasons why I was so ok with going back to work was becuase I knew she would be watching my child every day.  I think I might actually cry.  Before her I was seriously thinking about NOT going back to work.  But financially, not sure how we are going to swing that.  Holy crap.

    Very understandable - specially since it sounds like it's been planned.  Hopefully things will turn around and she'll continue.

    SP - What area of the cities are you in?  I *might* be able to watch LP if you can't find anyone.  I'm undecided as to whether I want to sub or do home daycare as of now.  We're about 90% sure that we're going to be moving there in January.  It would depend on how much space we have in the place we move to.  We'll have to start out in an apartment for sure.
