Hey guys, I was thinking of some family names today that I never see anywhere! Just throwing these out there for discussion I guess!
Boys
Griffin
Angelo
Geno
Ross
Girls
Jamie
Breck
Alice
Maggie
Anyways, enjoy the new names to love or hate!
Re: Not so common names I want to share...
Love Griffin. All others are good too, with the exception that Angelo and Geno are NMS. For me, these names bring to mind a guy in a "wife beater" t-shirt and long hair. Sorry for the visual, it's just what my brain conjures up!
Breck is a cool name. Could name name my daughter this name, though, because my son's name is Brett and I can just imagine always messing up the names: Brett and Breck!
Boys
Griffin - I know a little boy named Griffin
Angelo - male version of my name
Geno - too close to Gyno for me. And I know a Gene who is kind of a creep
Ross - I know a guy named Ross, and he is cool and one sharp dresser.
Girls
Jamie - Bad association with this name. She was the worst work project I was ever given.
Breck - Reminds me of Breckin Meyer. I've never seen this one though.
Alice - I see this going up the ranks soon because of the whole Alice in Wonderland craze...I think my sister will probably name her non-existant girl Alice.
Maggie - Reminds me of Waking Ned Devine.

Ross, Maggie, Alice, and Jamie are pretty common to me..i know of many children and adults with these names. All the others i would say are not common though.
Boys:
Griffin: nay
Angelo: nay
Geno: I know a Eugene, and Geno was short for that
Ross: just ok
Girls:
Jamie: ok
Breck: kind of cool
Alice: regal sounding
Maggie: I know too many dogs with this name
Ross will always remind me of the TV show Friends.
Angelo and Geno sound Italian to me?
Jamie is a very common name (I know way too many Jamie's!)
Maggie is not common, although one of my best friends is Maggie!
Breck is kind of a weird girl name, I think I would associate it with a boy.

Actually, I'm seeing Alice A LOT, and I expect to see it even more thanks to Twilight and the new Alice in Wonderland movie. Maggie isn't exactly uncommon either. I know two moms who've recently had a Margaret, and they call her Maggie.
Breck isn't a name. It's a cheap shampoo.
