I just got a devastating phone call from Kellie. Baby Ella went in for her 2 month checkup today. Kellie had noticed little red spots on her skin (she thought it was a rash) and she asked the doctor about it. They ran tests and found out it was bleeding under the skin. They sent her to a specialist and Ella's platelets are VERY low. She was admitted in the hospital and is in Pediatric ICU. She will be going to Memphis tomorrow to St. Jude for a bone marrow biopsy.

Please, please pray! I just hung up with Kellie and I'm so devastated right now. I feel so helpless and I was so speechless that I wasn't even sure how to comfort her. I'm just trying to spread the word to get as many prayers as we can for sweet sweet Ella.

Oh no! You got it. We'll all be thinking of Kellie and Ella. I hope everything will be okay.

I know a mom whose son has a condition that affects his platelets..she has raved about how wonderful St. Jude is when she had to take him. I know they'll take great care of Ella!

Oh my goodness, I am at a loss for words! I can't imagine what Kellie and Dustin are going through. And poor Ella... I will be keeping them all in my prayers, and I am glad that Ella will be getting the best care available.
