I need advice. I have a SIL due in June and a best friend due in Sept., both with DS #2 (So many boys in my circle right now). I want to do something VERY low key with just their moms, siblings and Best friends (2 Separate gatherings in case that was not clear). Have any of you thrown a loved one a "Sprinkle" for child #2 and what was involved in it? I was thinking just a few of us getting together for a light lunch at my house, chit chat and gifts? If anyone is currently hoping for a sprinkle, what do you envision?

I think it's thoughtful.
We did a diaper shower (similar to a sprinkle) for a girl in my Bunco group expecting triplets. It was pretty low key...outdoors, Sunday afternoon, just snacks (appetizers and dips), cake and drinks.
Some friends just through a sprinkle for me a couple of weeks ago. It was exactly as you described your idea. It was perfect. I felt weird about having another shower (especially when our first is still so young). But my friend explained it as: "We still want to celebrate #2's life." It made me feel less weird about it. We had a great girls lunch and I got a couple of gifts. It really was such a thoughtful gesture!
I did exactly that for my cousin. It was fun.
I'm going to a sprinkle in a couple weeks for my SIL. My nephew is 6wks old right now, but her sister is having a girls night- pass the baby around sprinkle type thing at a restaurant.
