I knew a few, and rrr went online and found a couple he wanted to teach her (cat, diaper, daddy) and we just used them. I knew we weren't trying to teach her a lot and it seemed more practical than sitting her in front of videos.
I just Googled "baby sign language" and went from there. We didn't need a whole lot of signs, so that was perfect for us. The only signs he knows are milk, eat, all done, and more.

Signing Time Videos are pretty popular. A friend's little girl was even in one of the episodes.
My dad has these dvds (he might have borrowed them from my sister or he went out and bought them, I'm not sure) and watches them w/ DS. LOL yes, we're dorks. I know the basic signs but that's all.
ETA: I meant to say, DS loves them, I'm sure he's too young to really learn the signs yet but he loves the DVD.
My big boy is bounding towards 4! Baby brother coming in October!
They will be teaching it to DD at the daycare we chose. Once we are ready to send her to daycare, they give the parents flash cards of the signs they are teaching the kiddos.
I worked with Aidan on actual ASL signs, not baby sign language where some of the signs vary. DH's aunt's partner is deaf and she really enjoyed teaching him new things to come home and teach us :-) Some of the signs were things we already knew and others we learned from researching online.
Re: S/O baby sign language
I have a DVD, we watched it once. The only thing I really picked up is that they recommend starting with more, eat and milk.
I never had time to sit and watch it, so I just googled videos of signs I wanted to know.
We also have a board book My First Signs we got it at BRU. Eloise liked the book a lot.
