It seems to be the same design. What do you think?
DH really doesn't want to spend the money on the beco b/c I never wore DD but I think I will carry DS more b/c I will need my hands free. Would you try this?
The Ergo and Beco are actually soft structured carriers (SSC) so they contain buckles. That is more a mei tai (MT), which is just straps that are tied -- no buckles.
I know some mamas here recently bought it. Though I read on the baby wearer that a mama deconstructed it and was not impressed. That being said, if you think that you'll only use it for light use than it may be good. Maybe one of the mamas on here that has it can chime in
They've had this on babysteals.com a few times (including a few days ago). I bought it from there for $17.99. I like it! I've never had a mei tai, so I can't compare it to others, but I do have an Ergo. This doesn't seem quite as sturdy as the Ergo, but it seems perfectly safe and DS seems comfy in it. Plus, it's cuter . I also find it easier to get DS on my back for back carries in the mei tai.
