This is my third baby and during this pregnancy I am seriously breaking out. What products are safe and work well for moms-to-be? I really need help! Thanks.
I had really bad disgusting back acne in my 1st tri. My doctor prescribed a benzoyl peroxide wash. You slather it on, wait 10 minutes and then wash it off in the shower. Cleared it right up within a week.
If it's severe, I'd suggest seeing your dermatologist. In my experience, OTC stuff doesn't work on hormonal acne, plus being pregnant, I like knowing that whatever I'm using is doctor approved.
Right now, the dermatologist has me on a 2% erythromycin topical. I've only been on it a week, so I think it's too early to say whether it's working or not. If I haven't made progress in a month, we may talk about pregnancy-safe oral antibiotics.

GL! I hope we can all get cleared up soon!
