  • I have heard of ppl who will get m/s back in 3rd tri.  However maybe you just have a bug?  I have had a couple 24 flu type thing during 3rd tri.  Not fun at all~! Hopefully thats all you have

  • I've had a couple of bouts with morning sickness in the last week or so. No vomiting, but nauseau is not fun!
  • Morning sickness returning in the third trimester is not uncommon at all.  It has a lot to do with baby squishing your stomach and other digestive organs, this is also why heartburn usually becomes worse or shows up in the third trimester.
  • I've had to take my Zofran the past 5 days! Ugh.

  • It has been really random, but yes I have been feeling crappy again lately.  It seems to be the worst when I am hungry as well.
  • Ive heard of M/s thru out the whole pregnancy, but Id also pay attention to what you eat and see if there is a correlation with a specific type of food. I found out in the 2nd tri, that eating animal protein caused me massive nausea and all that goes with it. I thought it was just m/s... since then I eat 1/3 of the meat I used to and am now fine, but every now and again I get that m/s feeling and it usually can be related back to too much protein...

    HTH... Good luck! :)

  • Yes, it's possible. And it's possible for it to never go away, like in my case.

  • Defintely.  I've been feeling it again the last 2-3 weeks.  I talked to the doctor about it and she said it was definitely possible.  You are getting hit with another high dose of hormones as your body prepares for the final stages and going into labor and that is probably what is causing the morning sickness.

My doctor suggested, eating a little protein just before going to bed, like a piece of cheese or yogurt, just a snack, not a meal.  She also suggested having crackers at the bedside and eat one or two when I get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night/morning (not everytime you get up, just closer to morning) and then have a couple crackers when I first start to get out of bed.  So far these suggestions seem to be helping a little, it is at least worth a try.  Good luck.

  • Thanks ladies.  I ate something and after about an hour I started to feel a little better...it seems like morning sickness again...but I'm nearing the home stretch so I can deal!!
