So, if I recall correctly you recently took a break from cloth diapering due to leakage problems. Is that right?

Well, I took a break about a month and a half ago and I still haven't gone back. I absolutely love cloth. I didn't mind the laundry or the scrapping poo once she went on formula. I just couldn't handle her peeing out of every diaper.

Have you started cd-ing again? What type of diapers are you using? I try posting of the EFF board, but since I am not a regular I don't get a ton of responses.

    I bought Indian Cotton Prefolds and Thirstie Duos. I love them. I have only ever had 1 leak and have decided to start using an additional insert at night just to provide a little more absorbency.

    I have 40 prefolds, so I only do laundry every 2 or 3 days. I really wait and it has not been much of a burden. I'm glad you like CD!!

    I use indian prefolds and thirsties too :(

    DD is long so the rise on size one is too short and she pees out the front, but the size two is huge around her waist and thighs.

    I am a huge fan of fitteds or prefolds with covers...they contain leaks much better.  Also, in my opinion, its a lot harder to determine if your PUL is the issue with AIOs.  What are you using and do you dry them in the dryer?

    We started having serious leak problems between 6-8 months and I had pretty much written off a third of our stash. It turned out to be an absorbency thing. I guess he just started getting wetter at that point. I switched to combo inserts (microfiber and hemp) and the problem was solved. I have even been brave enough to go back to the diapers that were guaranteed leakers. They still don't fit as nice as my favorites, but we don't have leaks anymore.

    So I'm not sure if it's the same kind of issue with you or what kind of inserts you already use, but if you don't have any hemp it might be something to try (combined with microfiber).

    I took a break, but not because of leakage.  It was because I was having trouble keeping up with the laundry on account of feeling crappy from the pg.  Regular laundry didn't matter, but CD laundry can't really sit an extra day!  We have actually had tons of leaks with sposies and last week DD developed her first ever diaper rash.  I hate those stupid diapers.  We've tried four different types and they all suck, IMO.  As soon as we get to Moscow and our detergent arrives, we're going to switch back to CDing and I really can't wait. 

    I'm going to go back to our previous arrangement - BG 3.0s during the day and fitteds + wool at night.  We had originally used pfs and covers, and they worked great for awhile, but then DD started to pee through them too fast.  We don't have that problem with the BGs.

    Thanks! I loved my prefolds and covers until DD started peeing through in less than two hours and nap time ALWAYS resulted in a wet bed. I have one BG and I plan on using it to see if it works!
