I'm breaking down and getting a Bella Band or something similar. Not only will I have to buy all new maternity clothes this time (oppsotue seasons of my other two), but I refuse to wear maternity pants at under 11 wks along! Haha!
So I'm running at lunch to get one so I can stop worrying that my pants came unzipped (even my fat coming back after maternity leave pants won't button). So, where has the best ones? Target? Motherhood? I think that's about all we got around here and I need one now! (And some Chipolte while I'm out ;P)
Re: Bella Bands - Target/Motherhood?
I got mine from Motherhood, and didn't like it at all. I felt like it was a SPANX trying to suck everything in, and it left me out of breath. I wore it 1 time. And the only reason I got that one was b/c Target didnt' have my recommended size (L for multiples).
I just wear my pants unbuttoned, and loose tops. I have now just ordered some maternity pants, which should be in just in time for next wk. : )

I'm surprised to hear so many bad experiences.
I'm wearing mine from last year that I got at Motherhood and it's working out great. I was just thinking how the rubber band trick and the bella band are saving my life because not a single normal pair of pants fit this morning. I have the nude one and I haven't had any problems, but again, it's from last year so maybe its a little stretched and I'm also smaller than I was with my first pregnancy.
I'm not sure that I would wear it without the rubber band though, I wouldn't feel confident enough that my pants would stay up without it. But together it's a great combo. I'm also wearing longer tops to cover. Good luck, labor buddy!
I got the one from Target! I love it! I used it all the way up till my pre preg. pants no longer fit my butt lol.
I have the beband from target and I really like it. It allows me to wear my normal jeans that I can still fit into except for my expanding tummy. I think that its really worth the 16 bucks.. I have noticed that it does get loose after abiout a week of wear. I just wash it and its good. I dont have any problems with rolling but I do notice that if i sit for awhile and then need to get up it needs a little adjustment. Nothing big for me.
With all that said, I do have mat. shorts and capris but the weather isnt so nice so I cant wear them. But if it was, I would be in them in a minute. I am going to look for jeans later on today. From what I have heard people are happy once they have them and I plan on using them the whole pregnancy ang getting a fully belly.
A little long winded but I hope it helps..
Labor buddy.....you MUST share the rubberband trick!
I actually have mine still from my first pregnancy (somwhere I think), but like so many people complained, it was constantly moving around. I was wishing there was some way I could do like no sew sticky bands on the inside, like the clear sticky strips in strapless bras! Maybe the rubberband trick is the key!

Oh, and boo.....no Chipolte today! I walked upstairs (I work in a basement with no windows within a 5 min walk) and go figure, it's POURING! Boo!
So I had to settle for a chicken sandwich from the deli, but at least they threw in an extra pickle! Mmm...
Oh man! I am stunned to see so many bad reviews about this Bella Band! I didn't get one last time around because they were only available online for $40 and I wasn't going to spend that much! Now they are much cheaper and available at Target, I was going to go pick one up!
I was in maternity pants at 9 weeks last time around.

I have a be band from Target, and it works pretty well on my dress pants, but it really is a PIA with jeans. The one time I wore it with jeans I felt like I was pulling up my pants every thrity seconds.
Also, a friend of mine told me to wear it like this: Pull it up over your underwear under your pants, and then put on your pants, and fold it over the top. I don't know if that's something others have tried, the picture on the package just shows a woman wearing it over her pants. Anyway, it seems to work better and is more comfortable for me folded over.
When I was further along with DS I would wear it that way and it was great. It helped keep the shape of the band on my pants since I just wore the banded pants and not the full panel.
TC's - the rubber band trick is easy! You just take a rubber band (I use the clear hair bands) and you loop it through the button hole and then through itself so it's secure, then take the second loop that is formed and put it around the button. It's just like a button extender basically.
Me too! I have some maternity dress pants that I bought pretty early on and they work great. They are 'under the belly' ones from Motherhood. They work great for ealy on, we will see how they work when I get bigger though. I bought them at Gordmans, along with the band thingy. It does roll up in back when I sit down. But I'm used to having to adjust my shirt and pants when I sit down. I guess I have too much junk in my trunk!
I'm just gonna let it all hang out.
