Re: Weight Watchers vs Nutrisystem

  • I was doing WW and its sooo much cheaper. I lost weight the first week on WW and it continued until I stopped. It was gradual like 1-3 lbs a week but still.

What are the meetings like?  I'm not a sharing type of person.  Especially when it comes to my love of all things deep-fried and breaded.

I didn't go to meetings. I did online. It was easy. I weighed myself every Sunday morning and put it on my account online. The points tracker is so simple.

  • Nutrisystem tastes like cardboard.

Seattle Sutton(sp?) is yummy. It's fresh food.

  • I've never done Nutrisystem but I know I could never stick to it - all the prepackaged food I've ever tried has been gross, so I imagine the diet food is no different.  I'm on WW right now and really like it - you eat normal food, and can eat just about anything within reason, as long as you control your portions.  I've lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks.

  • WW all the way. My DH did nutrisystem, and I called it nutriSh*t. The food tastes disgusting.

you don't have to share at the WW meetings. We went with friends on Saturday mornings and it was actually fun!

  • I've done both, and let me just tell you that I will NEVER go near Nutrisystem again. The food was terrible. WW focuses on a healthy lifestyle, and it really is a program you can live with.

  • Weight Watchers is working like "magic" for me! Before LO I was in great shape, but gained 45 pounds during my pregnancy. Now, thanks to WW, I am 10 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight and my pre-pregnancy clothing is fitting me again. I tried various diets before WW but either I couldn't stick to them because I was hungry and stressed out with LO or they simply weren't working.

I have never been hungry on WW, I eat whatever I want but in moderation and I do not work out (other then walking). I do WW online, it is so easy! I've been losing 1-3 pounds per week, which doesn't seem like much but over time it compiles!

You should try WW! Good luck!

  • WW is awesome.  In the last 13 weeks I've lost 30 pounds.  I eat real food. I am able to make choices based on the situation I am in and I know I will be able to continue this after I hit my goal.

I'm not a fan of pre-fabricated products.  I thought about nutrisystem but I didn't like eating something I didn't have control over.  I'm sure it would work but I needed to lose the weight eating things I will eat when I am finished.  WW allows for this.

I also do it online.  It's fantastic!

  • Thanks ladies!

I just signed up for WW online.  Woot woot!

I feel like I should have had one last gorge-fest full of my favorite foods  Smile
